The importation of “Japonica Rice” in Malaysia is critical to the 17,000 Japanese and 5000 Korean who reside in Malaysia as well as Malaysian who love Japanese and Korean food. It is also part of our Company’s effort in creating an “Investment friendly environment” in attracting more investors especially the Japanese and Koreans into Malaysia. There are several brand of “Japonica Rice” market which dominated by Jasmine Food Corporation Sdn. Bhd., Serba Wangi Sdn. Bhd., YHL Sdn. Bhd. and Hock Ju Sdn. Bhd. However the consumers are not satisfied with the quality of the rice. This has created opportunity to Edaran “Komachi” Sdn. Bhd. to introduce Komachi variation to Malaysia, which is far superior in quality.

The company is heading into new niche variety of rice such as Organic rice from India ( Sona Masoori ), Oganic rice from Indoneisa, Special Basmathi Super ELG, Thai parboiled and Super Special Fragrant rice from Thailand.

Besides those niche market, the company is also selling 15% broken local rice and as well as Korean Short grain rice to Korean community. The packing machinery completed with polisher has been installed in order to cater for the business improvement and log term business stratergy. By end of 2010, the sales turnover is expected to be achieving at RM 2,000,000 per month.
